PETZL REVERSO® abseil brake

Ultra light multi-purpose belay and abseiling brake with V-shaped friction grooves
with asymmetric transverse channels that adapt to any type of rope
(ARC technology: friction control for double, half and single dynamic ropes).
The Reverso mode enables belaying of one or two second climbers with auxiliary braking.
Ultra-lightweight design:
- minimalist design
- hot forged aluminum
One tool for all types of ropes:
- can be combined with dynamic single ropes with a diameter of 8.5 - 10.5 mm
- compatible with dynamic half ropes with a diameter of 7.1 - 9.2 mm
- can be merged with dyn. double ropes with a diameter of 6.9 mm - 9.2 mm
- the possibility of belaying a first climber, one or two second climbers and also for abseiling
- independent or simultaneous belaying of one or two second climbers in the Reverso mode
- increases friction in thin ropes
- friction adaptation for larger diameter ropes
- increases the braking force when securing the fall of a first climber, lowering a second climber, or abseiling
Gentle on the rope, enables smooth belaying and handling of the rope:
- does not twist the rope in any mode
- clearly separates the two rope strands during belaying and rappelling
- the connection hole for the Reverso mode is easily recognizable
- the retaining cable prevents the aid from moving along the rope during belaying and prevents its loss
- usage drawings (standard safety mode and Reverse)
- to achieve the highest possible efficiency, it is used with asymmetric carabiners with a lock safety
(AMD or WILLIAM)
